Women Build is an annual event that recruits and empowers women of all different ages, backgrounds, and industries. Local women come together to build homes and make a powerful and visible impact on our community through housing and neighborhood revitalization efforts.

New Orleans Habitat will be hosting our third annual Pride Build in 2024, bringing together local members of the LGBTQ community and allies to help build a home for a local family – and celebrate New Orleans Habitat LGBTQ homeowners. Decades of systemic discrimination have barred LGBTQ families and individuals from homeownership. Through Pride Build, we hope to raise awareness of the need for affordable housing for all and its power to transform lives for the better.

Bench and Bar Build is a collaboration of local legal professionals (judges, partners, associates, paralegals, professional staff, government/non-profit employees) coordinated by New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. Volunteers work side by side with a hard-working New Orleans Habitat Partner Family, who will purchase the home upon completion.
